Shockwave continues giving information to the police, hoping to keep things under control. "Seems the same ones responsible for the attacks at the other bars were behind this. The attack inside sounded like a similar situation to earlier attacks. The bomb is a disturbing escalation however. This gang war seems to be getting uglier and uglier."
As the cops continue to set the perimeter, Shockwave goes to grab the HYDRA agents from the roof so that they can be taken into custody as well as getting medical attention.

Renegade was angry that he could not find Stick anywhere though he was slightly modified by the fact the boy was unhurt. The battle was over as quickly as it began and he found himself drawn to the Darkforce user who seemed to absorb the cloud of darkness he had created and then vanished.
(OOC: Renegade wants to make a Reason FEAT roll if that's possible in order to see if he can try and recognize which part of Manhattan that he saw via Shroud's all too brief portal.)
When he heard the sirens of the police, Renegade decided to remain in shadow form and not show his blue costume until he knew who was friend or foe.
"You okay, kid?" he asked Tommy, his voice slightly distorted through his shadow form. He did feel bad that the teenager's own mother, if that who she really is, was involved in this mess.
Maybe he can grab the kid and escape the pool hall where they can talk privately.

Solo really had enough that his teleporting trick was something, that seemingly every metahuman had a way to involving with. Sigh he though after the dominatrix woman vanished. He also hated the fact he was so deep in this mess, with the amulet and all. Oh well Se lavie! After Spellbound told her what she did, he threw her a little device,"Call me with this, Shockwave will know how" It was a responder tuned to one of his other bases. He hoped this symbol of thrust will make them work better together until this all over. At which point he would go back at being trully "Solo". He then teleported to his secret Base in the Brazilian mountains.

The police take the unconcious HYDRA agents into custody, handcuffing them to stretchers as EMTs load them into ambulances. They then take up security positions around the ambulances, awaiting to turn jurisdiction of the crime scene over to SHIELD and the NSA's counter-terrorism task force. With HYDRA agents in custody, this brought a new set of law enforcement protocols into play.
=====
Solo teleports away, but instead of reappearing in Brazil, he finds himself back at the homeless shelter where Oldschool lived. most of the occupants are asleep, but Solo sees Jenkins up playing solitaire and drinking coffee. The amulet around his neck glows and burns as if it were pulled from a fire, stinging Solo's neck. The old man Jenkins looks curiously at Solo and says "Back again? The TV's been buzzing about your friend's disappearing into thin air after battling robots. Been playing the footage all night..."
=====
[Renegade: the view of the Manhattan skyline seen at the terminal end of Shroud's teleportation appeared to be looking at the city from somewhere out in the bay]
Tommy Bifrost looks at the silhouette shadowy form speaking to him and says "I'm alright. Skate armor is tough." Getting to his feet, he looks at Flashdance and back at the shadowform. "I cut you last night, and you just kicked my mom and turned into shadow. I don't know what the hell is going on but Hammerhead's got your boy Oldschool working for him. Looks like he's got my mom too. Considering those cops outside are probably going to want to take me to jail for something, we can fight if we have to, but I won't be using no blade." Tommy Bifrost's eyes flash with a yellowish light.
=====
As Solo disappears, the police enter the pool hall and instruct everyone that they may not leave until they are questioned.
A black panel van arrives and SHIELD technicians exit from it.
Among the SHIELD agents, Shockwave recognizes his colleague Lancaster, who Spellbound would recognize as her physics professor.

Elixir yells out "Windchill, Oldschool!", but it's too late, he's already back at the pool hall.
"No! No No No NO!"
Elixir pounds on the floor in frustration.
Looking around the room, he sees the wreckage and gore. With a ragged breath, Elixir sucks in air. Ignoring the skater kid, he walks up to Flashdance and whispers urgently
"I got taken back to their base with them when the Werewolf disappeared. They've got Windchill and Oldschool, some old guy, and probably others as well! They're in an old warehouse, but I don't know where. Did you see where Shockwave and Spellbound went?"

With SHIELD arriving on sceen, Shockwave takes it as his cue to take his leave, in spite of police instruction. He tries to slip away as casually as he can.

A red van emblazoned with the words "Paladin Institute" on its doors pulls up to the scene. Flashdance notices his Paladin Institute handler Arc in civilian attire get out of the van and begin arguing with the police and SHIELD agents, who are themselves in an argument over jurisdiction. The police want to impound the HYDRA agents' strange device after the bombs are safely disposed of, but the SHIELD technicians want custody of it.
Some SHIELD agents take statements from the gathered heroes that tell them anything. SHIELD Agent Lancaster notes approvingly at Shockwave's disarming of the bomb device and the apparent stun damage done to the HYDRA agents to render them unconscious. He looks over Shockwave's armor and comments appreciatively at the apparent integration of Mandroid and other exoskeletal power armor designs. "I'd be skeered to fly in that thing" he jokes at Shockwave's technology. "Of course, I'm only looking at what I can see from the external view."
Lancaster hands Shockwave a business card with a contact phone number at SHIELD. Humorous to Shockwave is the fact that Lancaster's desk number hasn't changed since he himself was a SHIELD R&D technician. "You handled that HYDRA bomb rather professionally. If you ever want to hang up the tights and work with exotic technologies, give me a call. Perhaps you have what it takes to be a SHIELD agent."
[somewhat inside joke: Of course, with the shakeup of the intel community under the ongoing Janus Directive, the internal turf wars and turnovers of several supervillain's technologies to questionable and unsavory classified projects made Shockwave's civilian ID leave SHIELD in the first place...]
After some tedious questioning and some bureaucratic persuasion on Arc's part, the police allow the heroes to leave.
Arc tells Flashdance to gather everyone together back at the Angel Towers building for debriefing.

Renegade stared at the mutant kid. "Your mom tried to kill you by giving you away to the Buzz Cuts. And i am sorry that i kicked her but i doubt she was using that chain on me just so she can be friendly. If its another fight you want then look elsewhere. I got to find my sensei."
He had heard of Hammerhead and this Oldschool was some kind of homeless strongman. Beyond that he was just as clueless as when he first came in here with Stick.
He avoided talking to the cops and hung back while he pondered on what to do next. What he saw through the portal was somewhere near the bay but he cannot get anymore precise on its location. When he heard the words Angel Towers, his curiosity was piqued enough to decide to tag along.
He concentrated and returned to normal flesh and blood. He then looked at Tommy.
"If you want to find your mother, then come with us. I hate to follow you around town just to see you getting trashed by the gangs again."

Annoyed at himself for his failure in a "rescue mission" Shockwave heads back to Angel Towers to check on the 3 dreadnoughts left behind. The only thing that would make not getting to the pool hall in time to find Felicia worse would be if someone reactivated or recovered the dreadnoughts while the heroes left them unattended.

Renegade recognizes the name "Paladin Institute" from the Angel Towers building where he worked as a janitor. As far as he knew, it was an international research firm and school that had purchased the mostly empty office building but had only recently begun moving things into it even as they awaited the expiration of leases to other tenants to take over and remodel the whole building. After that, Paul didn't know if he would still have a job as a janitor for the complex.
As Renegade retuns to flesh form, Spellbound approaches him and says "You can become Darkforce? I was manipulating the flow of temporal energies in here before I realized Darkforce energy was present. Theoretically, Darkforce, teleportation, and time manipulation don''t work very well together."
[ooc: in an old Great Lakes Avengers story, Deadpool teleported through Doorman's Darkforce body and accidentally traveled throught time into the past, eventually being mistaken for Spider-Man due to the similar coloration of his costume, which led to certain unspeakable acts for which J. Jonah Jameson now accuses Spider-Man of being a menace to this day.... it's sort of a running gag, heh]
Spellbound then extends her hand to Renegade and introduces herself. "I'm called Spellbound. The silvery guy there is Elixir. The guy with the rockin' mullet and baseball bat is Flashdance. Rounding out the band in the blue power armor is Shockwave. You were here with another, an old man. What happened to him? We're missing some of our people as well, probably taken by the same enemies we have. You're welcome to join our merry band...."
Spellbound then hands Solo's encrypted comm device to Shockwave. "Our vigilante friend said you'd know how to contact him with this. But if HYDRA can track his teleportations and teleport themselves, they might find him first. Better see if we can get him to report in his location before we lose track of that amulet they seem to be after."
SHIELD agents take custody of the strange device on the roof as well as the mutant detector dropped in the pool hall.
Arc confers with Flashdance a bit, and then asks everyone to accompany her to the Angel Towers building. "About Mr. Pride. I have some disturbing news to report when we get back."
Tommy Bifrost fumes "I'm coming with you all, to get my mother back. I told her she's not cut out for superheroics. Never thought she'd go villain, or work for Hammerhead."
[ooc: add dialogue / ideas as desired, but I think we're ready for Chapter 8]
