Possible Shotgun Rule Occurances I've seen so far: 1) Matt Murdoch Commercial (will something legal come into play?) 2) SHIELD doing extra security while JLA and Avengers are offworld. (Will they get involved?) 3) The clumsy distracted secretary? (I'm thinking either clumsy secretary or inside job) 4) Firearms at the museum (will people who don't normally carry firearms actually become a problem?)

Ok, just making sure I understand: Chapter 2 - Finished Chapter 2.5 - Waiting for Solo Chapter 3 - Needs Oldschool first before Flashdance and I react Chapter 4 - Dependent on Chapter 2.5 and Chapter 3.0 reactions
Is this correct?

Ok, just making sure I understand: Chapter 2 - Finished Chapter 2.5 - Waiting for Solo Chapter 3 - Needs Oldschool first before Flashdance and I react Chapter 4 - Dependent on Chapter 2.5 and Chapter 3.0 reactions Is this correct? Sorry for the confusion. Chapter 2 is done. Chapter 2.5 is Solo alone (if he replies in time, hint hint, grrr), and technically occurs while the other heroes are still in the museum watching the news broadcast of themselves, and is Solo's chance to arrive on the scene of Chapter 4 slightly before everyone else does. Chapter 3 is a split... Oldschool does have time to inform Shockwave and Flashdance of the gunfire he heard and possibly locate the direction it came from (based on screaming / dying gunshot victims, heh), and Felicia's request for an escort to a taxicab has happened, and the dialogue there will be "informative" to whoever walks Felicia to a taxi (she asked Shockwave) Chapter 4 is the aftermath of the shooting scene which (if all goes according to plan) should have all 4 heroes meeting and gaining even more info. It's not so much "dependent" on Chapter 2.5 other than Solo's input into the storyline. I HATE railroading this to facilitate all players coming together in Chapter 4, but it was the only way to recover from lack of posting by Solo's player. I don't want to put too fine a point on it, but, we're here to play and it's not fair to me or other players to have to wait for non-participants. Call it a last chance, emphasis on last. Anyway, dialogue with Felicia in response to her request for an escort through Central Park won't upset the flow. You'll know about the gunshots when Oldschool says something, and about the screams of the dying if / when Oldschool hears them. (Felicia usually hails a cab near where Chapter 4 takes place.) Sorry again for the confusion.

Thanks for the clarification. I just didn't want to post out of turn if we wanted a response from the other players.

I'm just assuming that Flashdance's stomach is in mid-rumble right now thinking about the pizza, and trying to decide it "mullet man" is an insult or compliment for right now. Is that correct for right now? Just want to make sure I'm not holding up the game :-)

There is only one holding up the game.
I'm trying to weave the game so that everyone has something to do while Solo's player (finally) does his thing. But, if that's a waste of time to wait for, we won't wait long. No punches pulled. I'm offended that there even had to be a "Chapter 2.5" and more offended that as of yet, there's no response.
The posting commitments were made up front. I don't mean to be a jerk about it, but if you can't access this forum more than once every week-and-a-half to two weeks for a game commited to at least two posts a week, perhaps this campaign is definitely not for you. And if you can't have the courtesy to take 30 seconds to say "hey I'm going to be away for X number of days" then I don't think it's discourteous of me to give my 30 second see ya bye-bye for holding up / derailing the game.
I'm feeling rather de ja vu-ish on this, like I'm about to get burned again. Either Solo's player (formerly Superman's also non-commital player) wants to play, or he doesn't. .Either he wants to decide to play, or he wants me to decide he isn't playing I'm cool with either flavor, though my #1 play-by-post gaming pet peeve button is getting pressed hard. Again. Nothing sparks my ire as a Judge like broken player commitments. Why should I type up game posts for a player that isn't going to show? Why should other players have to wait? Especially in a combat-and-dialogue heavy setting like the Gang Wars Trilogy?!
I'd much rather be typing game posts than wondering out loud if I'm wasting my time typing game posts. I'm not mad, but... damn.

With the possibility we might lose Solo, is 3 characters a desirable number for the campaign? Is it possible (or wanted) to work 1 or 2 characters in down the line?
There never really was a full posting for gang wars on the Marvel Classic site to seek players, although I did post in the previous thread for this site.
Just to be clear, I'm not stating we should stop or slow down to find new players, just asking whether the module supports adding in people midstream if we find it would be good for the campaign?

I think I can facilitate adding new players at the start of a new chapter, or run them in a solo game until the point of feeding them into the main story.

Alright, I think that covers the "can we" question. Now, do we need to? Do we want to? (Totally separate note: Maybe Solo is waiting for someone to post on the Solo Mission board for him, thinking he has his own forum for his adventures. ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png)

I hope that's not the problem. Seems rather self-explanatory. I'm just saying there's an open door on player's joining with a new character, as long as they can keep a posting commitment. I just hope that I don't have to type a "Solo has been camping in the bushes outside the Met for the past 5 days, needs a shave, smells horrible..." post when / if his player returns. Yo, Solo. I'm not mad, just a little frustrated.
