I get the feeling everyone here is a pretty experienced roleplayer (based on the quality of the posts, it's to bad we couldn't do this at the same table on a Saturday night), so I think powers would almost be secondary in a character on character fight. It would come down to who could get the most creative and yes, dirty! Hopefully we won't have to see it :-) But yes; I am definitely looking forward to Flashdance's penchant for pranks playing out in combat with the teleporting. And how about a punch by Oldschool backed up by a bit of freefall gravity ala' "teleport other" power on a baddie? We can get some cool combos going between the characters here > ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I still haven't figured out a way to combine a teleporter with sound attacks, but believe me, I'll stay on it. (My power stunt idea list is up to almost 20 and still growing...will be interesting to see which ones the opportunity will come up for.)
I could see Flashdance becoming a great friend to Solo as well...Flashdance could teleport him in, and then Solo takes his action and gets out...no time limit to worry about.
Teleport is probably the "flashiest" power in the group, but I want to see how light generation comes into play as well. This is where I do know we have some synergy. Sound attack + light attack = lots of people not knowing what the hell is going on around them.

And we are off to a great start to being a heroic group... I wonder, can flashdance teleport someone about 3 feet to the right, leaving behind any scalding liquids that might have been spilled on them? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

ooc: Solo is late for the meeting with the museum curator (still ongoing) as he hides in the bushes near the 5th Avenue entrance, and has missed much of the details of that meeting. The doors of the museum are locked. The place is crawling with armed security. The various reporters and cameramen have just wrapped up taping their various segments for the 6 o'clock news and have dispersed. The sun is going down, and is behind NYC's tall buildings enough to cast long shadows over Central Park, but it's not totally nightfall yet. Solo has two choices: 1.) Teleport into the museum to catch the rest of the meeting and possibly face trigger-happy rent-a-cops 2.) wait for the other heroes to emerge from the museum and witness something the other heroes won't know about. both have an equal chance of seeing combat ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Let me know if Solo is going into the museum or staying put to see what happens in the park while the other heroes are in the museum.

Check the end of chapter 1, and then read through chapter 2.
Basic summary - Solo was doing surveilance of the building from the bushes. The rest of us headed inside following a security guard, where we have just had an explanation of the robbery. Doing Q&A with the curator (and getting coffee spilled on us.)

First tests of teamwork and trust by the party. Anyone in the group might be a spy for the mob. Does someone offer up a tempory HQ? Flashdance's pickup? Shockwave's studio apartment? Old School's soup kitchen? Where is the super rich guy to donate a huge mansion filled with high tech security and equipment when you need him. We are definitely not the avengers. Do the characters even want to work together, or do they all go their own way to try to solve the mysteries of the theft... having all just met, there are some fun obstacles in the way that have nothing to do with book thefts.

We could all stay at the Ramada with Flashdance and put it on the Paladin Institutes tab, lol. I say, we pull an X-Force, like when they took over Arcade's base. The first bona fida bad guy we chase out of Dodge we take over their pad ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

With my luck, he'll probably live in a dank, dark, and smelly sewer tunnel or in a Mausoleum cemetary.
Although if Hammerhead is really who we are up against, he might have a nice pad.

Hey - Flashdance specifically requested a Best Western - nothing but class while in the city! :-)
Kinda liking that beat up the badguy and swipe his base though...

As a player, I'm well pleased with the way everyone is approaching the "bonding and becoming a team" thing. As an evil Judge, I'm well pleased with the "public ID hero works in a soup kitchen just appeared on the TV that people responsible for stealing the book watch" thing. Muhahaha. Did I say that out loud. I'm sorry. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Sounds like the soup kitchen might become a base of operations afterall...just to protect everyone.
The public vs private thing has been on my mind a lot. At least I think I'm the only one who can't drink coffee or eat pizza in costume...guess I get to starve at the superhero pizza party.

Yeah.... Flashdance really hasn't thought the whole grab a pizza out any farther than his hungry stomach... He's as smooth as sandpaper!

Flashdance and Oldschool (the big tanks that need fuel) probably need the pizza more than shockwave (the skinny lab geek) anyway.
