Rin remained curious about the assassin that Windchill had frozen, and invisibly remained on the elevator with the Paladin technicians taking him down to a "Sub-Level Six."
The elevator ride to the basement levels is long and uneventful. On the ground floor level, Glitch steps off the elevator.
As the elevator descends, it stops abruptly and a voice comes over the intercom.
"Security Desk. We're reading three bio-signatures on the elevator. What's going on?"
"Yeah. Me, Fred, and this guy on ice. When are you slobs going to get that scanner fixed? Are you sure it's not that asshole Glitch messing with you again? You saw what he did to the holographic window imagers on Level 16. Guy can't keep his mind out of the machines. Damn prankster."
"Sorry, sir. We're working on it."
"Freakin mutants..."
The elevator resumes its descent into the secret sub-basement levels of the Angel Towers complex as the Paladin agents talk among themselves.
"What'd Glitch do to the holographic window imagers on Level 16?"
"Changed the view. To upside down and people falling into the sky."
"That's pretty weird."
"Yeah, the guy's a laugh riot. I don't like the security threat his curiousity poses."
The elevator opens onto Sub-Level Six to reveal a massive open room filled with computers and monitors displaying strange symbols and esoteric data. Technicians move around a table in the center, with a large disk with seven round indentations in it. Two of the indentations are filled in with glowing medallions similar to one around the frozen Deadpool's neck.

Freshly clothed with shoes that fit and showered, Oldschool checks out the mech area, taking notes of both project and toys. The AI doesn't especially interest him as he just has basic university understanding. While he knows that he'll help, he certainly will not take the lead on it.
Mechanics, vehicles and weapons are more his thing.
Oldschool lifts the bike up and onto a huge frame table, fastening it down with straps and bolts, careful not to 'strip' the bolts with his strength.
"I'll help out on this for sure, " he grunts as he examines the damage. "If I would have stopped that bus 5 feet sooner, it wouldn't even need any repairs..."
Oldschool starts stripping parts off and labelling them, knowing full well that he will need to get down to the frame in order to straighten it out before they do anything else.

Solo greeted everyone with a smile. He couldn't help but wonder about the power this paladin institute held. I went through great lenghts to keep his secrets secret, and they knew it all. He wouldnt mess with them, rather see if they can really clear his name. This might be a new beginning.
To Arc:"I can take you anytime to the shelter. Just give me the sign, and well be off!"

Vendetta takes a few minutes to look over the workshop and then ends up back at his bike, just as Oldschool sets it on the table.
"Mind if i work on something for my body armour Mike? I really need to fit some sort of rack to carry extra ammo. 6 shots in each pistol wont cut it if things get really bad, not to mention a two way radio, preferrably with a police scanner."

"As much I'd like to jump into these Dreadnoughts, I need to work on my own armor first. I have a feeling we'll be using it again sooner than later." With that, Shockwave removes the armor from his leg, getting further assessment of the damage, and coming up with a plan for repairs that can at least get things in working order in a short period.

Solo watches the brains get to work. As Oldschool looks over the wrecked bike and strips it down, Vendetta begins designing extended magazines for his pistols. Shockwave determines that while parts can be sucessfully salvaged from the knee down the right leg of his armor, the upper part of that leg is trashed. The delicate balance of interwoven ceramic apertures which allow the Wakandan and Antarctic Vibranium to come in contact with each other to release the sonic energy shaped by his MATTER theory with his Mach stem shockwave generator is upset, courtesy of the unseen trickshot sniper's bullet and Elixir's attempts to rip the armor away with superstrength. Shockwave's going to have to acquire more Vibranium, of both types. A little bit of work can safely strip the broken components out of the upper leg, hammer and putty out the dents, all at the cost of taking flight, heavy lifting, and obviously swimming out of the question if Shockwave wanted to adventure tonight. The elevator doors slide open, and Arc walks out. Seeing the three heroes merrily engrossed in their passions, Arc smiles and says "Lose track of time? The meeting with Vigil is coming up. Solo, if you would..." ***KA-KA-CHOOOM!***The building rumbles from an explosion on a lower floor. The lights flicker, go out and are replaced by red emergency lights as a warning klaxon blares. Meanwhile...
The Paladin technicians continue to monitor the sleeping Flashdance, and complain that if they can't wake him up, they'll have to find another way to teleport the amulet off of the frozen assasin's neck.
Elixir sweeps around the homeless shelter when Spellbound's mother arrives to retrive the body with two Roma men, both dressed in traditional red funeral clothing and top hats.
Spellbound's mother thanks Elixir for contacting her, and explains that the station wagon is filled with Spellbound's belongings and with be set on fire with the body to follow their caravan's customs. The will do this in two days, on Saturday.
The two men carry Spellbound's body out to the station wagon, and then Elixir hears one of them yelling at someone down the street.

Elixir does his best to console Spellbound's family.
"I didn't know her very long, but I was honored to be one of her companions...I wish there were more that I could do for you and her. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you ever need anything. Is it possible to come to the ceremony to pay my respects? I wouldn't want to intrude if it is a family thing though..."
That sounds so completely lame...
Elixir follows the family out of the shelter and hears the yelling.
I sure hope someone isn't causing these folks more trouble...
He takes off down the street to catch up to the yelling to see what is going on.

Oldschool grins apologeticly at Arc. He hadn't realized how long he had been at Vendetta's bike. It was good to be back in a lab type situation. He almost wished he had a little money to really get creative with his weapon design.
Still, he was appreciative of what he had, regardless.
Oldschool's eyes flare as the warning klaxon and announcement are heard.
"Absolute zero?!? There's innocents... Paladin Personnel on that level with Windchill!"
Oldschool sprints towards the stairs, fearing the worst and knowing full well his strength and intelligence will be of no use....
He stops at the door.
"Shockwave! Is there any way we could could get those Dreadnaught flame throwers functional? Short of ripping a hole from the outside on level 21, I can't think of anything to bring the temperature up enough to save those people!"
Where was the Human Torch when you needed him?
ooc: Whoops! Forgot my Oldschool costume on this post! Sorry!

In the darkness, Arc keys her radio communicator.
"Security! What the hell just happened?"
"That mutant with the broken jaw you brought in woke up after Vigil healed him and left him to rest. Vigil's secure and okay. The kid trashed the medical center looking for 'Kick.' We had to fall back to Level 20 when he flash-froze and blocked off the stairwells going down and up to Level 21. Seems delusional. Keep ranting about not letting us 'hook him up to mind control machines.' Don't try the elevator. He's got the shaft at absolute zero, cars frozen in place. He's heading down. We're going to try to ambush him in the lobby. We'll have an helicopter up top to get you guys out. We either need to take this kid out or let him go before he trashes the place."

Vendetta curses as he rummages around for some sort of light - then he remembers seeing a blowtorch besides the table Oldschool was working at, and tries to move over to the table without knocking too much stuff over in the pitch blackness. once he finds it he says "shield your eyes - I'm about to make some light." then he turns on the torch.

Solo is thinking that he should add a flamethrower to his arsenal, for such cases. He takes out his taser and follows oldschool. Maybe they can stop him, without seriously injuring him and save the paladin officals in time. Then again paladin might be allready prepared for such a case. They would have to wait and see.

Arc says into her communicator, "Security! Status report! Where is Windchill?"
"Still descending the elevator shaft. He may realize he's in a tall building from the holographic view of the outside from Level 21. Thought we had him on Level 17. Sneaky bastard created a solid ice sculpture that looked like himself then ambushed security when they mistakenly attacked it. He somehow sucked the air out of the room and they had to retreat. He got back in the shaft after that. We tried to hit him with sedative tranquilizer gas as he passed Level 13. No effect. He froze the gas solid. Careful with electrical sparks up there, Arc. There's enough solidified oxygen in the stairwells and elevator shaft to blow this tower sky-high. We've turned up the heat enough to melt the ice in a while. We've got some personnel with frostbite injuries, but everyone seems okay. Despite his assault, the mutant seems more intent on finding a way out of here than hurting anyone... at least for now. I've never seen anything like this before. He's tearing through us like a crap through a goose. Fighting like a cornered rat. We really should let him out of here. I don't think he wants to be reasoned with."
"Damn it," Arc says, "Protect the building at all costs. Let him out if you have to. We can try to deal with him once he's on the outside. He's too dangerous in enclosed spaces."
Vendetta manages to fumble for a blowtorch, igniting it to light up Level 25 with a soft blue flicker. Arc waves the heroes towards the door leading to the stairwell up to the rooftop. She tries to open the door, with no luck since the power's out.
She slams her fist on the door. "Dammit! Oldschool! Break this down!"
