Vendetta walks over to Arc "could you have someone pick up whats left of my bike .... its under the bus .... I'd prefer if the government didnt get their hands on it. Someone might recognize the work of the man who built it and cause a lot of trouble for him."

Solo follows Arc reluctantly, nodding to Vendetta,"Nice job knocking out that kid, man", he says in a sarcastic but rather joking manner.
to Shokwave,"I think the Paladin guys will deal with deadpool, he seems more involved in this the we think."

Vendetta shrugs "I'm not happy about hitting him - but unless some of you have a way to stop him using his powers that I dont know about, I had to make sure I knocked him out in the first blow. I have no clue how unhitched he is or even if he will get worse before he gets better. But I do know, that I had one, and only one shot at knocking him out. If I hadn't gotten him in the first try I'd be a popscikle like the scumbag over there."
He turns to Jenkins "I'm sorry if I was too hard on him, but I dont have any powers, and ...." his voice trails off as he seems lost in thought.

"Okay, fair enough", says Solo to Vendetta.

Someone might recognize the work of the man who built it and cause a lot of trouble for him." "Of course, Mr. Patrick." Arc says with a hint of a sly knowing wink. Before Vendetta reacts, Arc smiles enigmatically and says, "What the Paladin Institute doesn't know about weapons designers is a much shorter list."

Arc addresses Solo.
"Lieutenant Bourne, your geographical displacement circuitry implants have a cargo capacity suitable to recover Mr. Patrick's turbo-cycle. I'm afraid there may not be room in the chopper for it and our frozen captive, along with the wounded and unconscious and other passengers. If you could take the bike to Two Angel Tower, specifically the roof, it would be most helpful." She scrawls coordinates with sea level elevation on a piece of paper from a note pad and gives it to Solo.
"Mr. Sherman, that block of ice containing the Jacobs medallion and wearer must weigh nearly half a ton. Do you think you could assist us with getting it onto the helicopter?"
Looking at Shockwave's mangled leg section, Arc says, "I suppose you're not flight-ready. Sonic propulsion, I presume? We don't have anyone like Ulysses Klaw or Dr. Nicholas Slade to assist you with repairs, but I think you will find the workshop facilities adequate to make repairs, and I'm authorized to assign assets to acquiring what you may need from our Wakandan affiliate branch. We have a robotics lab waiting for you as well, if you wish to resume analysis of the Dreadnought units. Perhaps Mr. Patrick and Mr. Sherman could lend you assistance with either the robots or making repairs to your armor systems."
To Elixir, Arc says "I want to thank you for calling me. That was good thinking. Flashdance is an OBE. Out of Body Excursion. Quite literally teleporting between the minds of the people asleep around the area. We need to monitor him more closely so that he finds himself back in his own body. The Paladin technicians will remain here with him until he is stabilized for travel."
Looking at the sheet-covered corpse of Spellbound, Arc bows her head solemnly. "Vigil will be upset to find that she is deceased. Someone who could naturally manipulate quantum dimensional energies would have been a strong asset to our organization and cause, and she was able to disrupt Hypnoporter projections. We've changed Paladin Institute uniforms to coverall tunics that Mr. Pride is unaware of. It's not likely HYDRA will create fakes from his memories again. Did she have family? I can make arrangements to have her body retrieved. "
And then to Jenkins she says, "I will see to it personally that this warehouse is repaired and restored. I apologize for any inconvenience our war with HYDRA has caused you and your residents."

Oldschool nodded slowly at first before answering aloud, "yeah, yeah... no problem, Arc. The weight will be no problem, I can even move the bus off of... Vendetta's bike..."
Mike Sherman was in shock. He didn't understand. Couldn't comprehend what he had just witnessed. While he had felt pretty confident that he knew who Vendetta was before Arc brought it out in the open, he couldn't reference the violent manner in which the man had taken out the young Windchill.
His old partner was aggressive, but it had always been more of a positive thing. Business... successful, business needed a certain measure of aggressiveness, but he had never seen this aspect before.
He wondered if he was bitter over the whole Stark-Sherman Industries flop. Was he somehow responsible for turning his old friend into this... Vendetta.
He had always wrapped himself in his own misery, selfishly. While he'd never ignored the fact that others lost as well when his business went bankrupt, he'd never really given any thought as to whether others had suffered as much as he thought he had.
He hoped to hell he wasn't responsible for this as well.
Maybe there was something he could say or do to help his old friend.
Guilt weighed heavily.
Feeling more than a little uncomfortable, he changed gears to hide his feelings.
"Where'd the kid get to? Reen." he said as he coughed the uncertainty out of his voice.
"Reen! Where you at boy?" he said with more uncertainty as he headed into the back rooms looking for the youngster.

Vendetta walks over to where Windchill is sprawled on the floor and picks him up, surprisingly gently, and then carries him out into the helicopter. As he gets there he hands off the kid to one of the people in the helo with the words "take good care of him - he needs medical attention, I think his jaw is broken."
After handing off the kid he heads back into the shelter to help Oldschool with finding Rin, finding Oldschool before he starts to coordinate with him.

"I might be able to get off the ground, but I wouldn't risk the side effects anywhere this crowded to try it. I appreciate the offer of the labs. Getting this repaired quickly will need to be my priority, but I have a feeling we might find good use for those robots before we are through. Dangerous characters seem to be crawling out of every sewer recently, and this city has an awful lot of sewers."

Elixir nods as Arc talks.
"So if Flashdance is having this OBE, how can we help him? Can we help him? Spellbound's mother spoke with Windchill and I think is on her way here to pick up the body, he said something about her religion having very specific funeral customs, so I wouldn't do anything with the body yet. Since Windchill is out cold, I think I ought to stay here to meet with her. She deserves that."
Elixir turns to Jenkins.
"I know, Windchill got completely blind sided. I hate to have that happen to a friend, but I'm worried about him and his apparent addiction. Having him sleep for a bit might be the best thing for now."
"Do you all have a broom around here? I'd like to help clean up some while I wait."

Arc kneels and pulls back the sheet covering Spellbound's corpse, and notices the Roma jewerly and bracelets she wore.
"I understand," Arc says to Elixir, as she covers Spellbound's body once more. "I don't know how long it will take those coming for the body to arrive through that traffic nightmare outside. Please extend my condolences to her family. We can send for you later. Perhaps Solo can come and teleport you back."
Arc watches Vendetta walk past with the unconcious and jaw-swollen Windchill, with a "what happened to him" look on her face but says nothing.
After Oldschool loads the Deadpool-ice cube onto the helicopter, Arc says "Let's go," leaving Elixir behind with Spellbound's corpse, the two Paladin Institute technicians, and Flashdance.
Oldschool and Vendetta notice that the helicopter itself is plated with stealth materials and radar baffling technology. It wouldn't be obvious to anyone that the Paladin Institute chopper had landed and taken off from a warehouse district in the Lower East Side, and the air was buzzing with news and police patrol helicopters enough that an additional helicopter wasn't noticed.
In the helicopter ride to the Angel Towers complex, it is readily apparent how large the extent of damage from wrecked cars and fires around the homeless shelter has been caused. Several well-known and not so well known costumed superheroes are responding to the emergency as best as they can.
As the two 25 story towers of the Angel complex was approached, the building is surrounded by moving vans and big rig cargo transport trucks, and another cargo helicopter is taking off from Tower Two, off to pick up another load of whatever is rapidly being moved into the building.
"Your new home sweet home as long as you're on our payroll. The Paladin Institute was preparing to back a new superhero team, and you all are our pick. We have common enemies."

Shockwave isn't sure whether trusting the paladin institute is a good decision, but there didn't seem to be a lot of other options right now. He wasn't too sure about some of these other "heroes" either. He was being surrounded by a lot of people that he couldn't and shouldn't trust, but perhaps this would be a better way to keep an eye on them.
"I assume that is lab equipment being moved in with those cargo choppers and trucks, at least in part?"

Arc says, "Yes, lab equipment. A more permanent installation due to increased paranormal activity on the East Coast. The Angel Towers facility will serve as both the team's base and a Paladin research facility. You will, of course, have access to the lab facilities. I may also be able to bring whatever equipment you may need. We won't be as extensive as Power Mountain, but the Board of Directors has given me quite a large budget to work with. We're mostly oriented towards extradimensional threats, but there's enough need for scientists and weaponeers. Imagine if Ghostbusters wasn't a comedy."

Vendetta watches the trucks being unloaded as the helicopter passes over them, then suddenly leans foreward "What the hell!! Thats my gear down there being moved in! At least some of it is! What the hell is going on here!" he seems upset that they seem to have broken into his workshop, but not actually angry. at least not yet.
