Elixir checks on Windchill one last time and runs out into the entrance area of the shelter, looking for Jenkins.
"Jenkins, the others are in deep trouble does anyone here have a motor cycle? I need to get back to them as fast as I can!"

The old man Jenkins shrugs at Elixir.
"I'm afraid that we don't have any vehicles here. What kind of trouble are they in? I can help you set up a triage unit here. I have some battlefield medic training from my days in Korea... before I was a POW."
Jenkins starts barking orders at some of the other homeless people, sounding like a drill sergeant.
"Clear off the tables and get the chairs out of the way! You! go to the kitchen and start boiling some water! You! get some clean linen out of the laundry room! We got some wounded friends coming in, and we need to be ready to assist them! These people are Mike's friends and we're going to help them! Move!"
Jenkins seems uncannily snapped back into an old role, riding on instincts and training long in the past but still very much a part of him.
He says to Elixir, "You seem to know a bit about first aid. I saw you help your friend Windchill. I've got some first aid kits and sterile supplies. We don't know what we'll be dealing with, but we need to be ready to treat whatever comes our way, at least to stabilize them. Hopefully Flashdance, Solo, and Spellbound can get everyone back here in time."
Elixir percieves a sense of confidence from Jenkins, like the old man was born ready to meet any situation head on.

The injured Spelbound moves to place herself between Flashdance and Ninja #2's sword, to protect the fallen hero as water from the broken water tower floods the rooftop. Spellbound intends to use her reflective field to stop the ninja's sword strike.

Jenkins retrieves some first aid kits from his room, including an Army surplus field surgery kit, and begins helping Elixir set up a station and barking orders here and there at the homeless people shuffling around.
"I'm no doctor, but I can do some patchwork if neccessary," he says. "Get on that horn again and tell them we're setting up to recieve wounded here."
ooc: Elixir's medical training is far more extensive than Jenkin's, the difference between First Aid and Medicine talents. But Jenkins has a lot of hands on experience, both in combat and working in the prison infirmary (see his character sheet in the NPC section). Jenkins has no idea how more extensively trained Elixir actually is.

ooc: Everyone still conscious with a team communicator would have heard Spellbound's and Elixir's broadcasts (Vendetta doesn't have a communicator radio supplied by Solo yet), I'm sure Solo will respond when he gets a free hand...
This chapter was originally intended to be RP only, with little or no action, for characters to get to know eacxh other better. But it looks like we've achieved "getting to know each other" through working together in combat Role-play Karma awards are going to be larger than normal for this chapter nonetheless

Solo sees targets everywhere, not knowing who to take out first. Deadshot is the most deadly, he heard of him, and off course he heard of the hand. These guys were more ddeadly and more merciless then the dreaded Yakuza. He quickly decided to take out the target ready to kill Flashdance...
To Elexir, "We got enemy targets everywhere, Spellbound, Flashdance and Shockwave are down, Vendetta and me will clear the area and get them to safety as fast as we can, Vendetta cover me!" "Solo, we've gotten the shelter ready to receive wounded." "...good get ready for your patients"
Solo aims for the Ninja #2, for a clean headshot, then hoping to get a shot off at other visible targets, including deadshot...

The good news is I messed up the rule on shooting firearms at multiple targets. It doesn't fall under the "multiple targets on a single attack roll -4CS" modifier rule. Each firearms shot is made as a seperate attack roll, one of the few times there is more than one rolling of an attack FEAT per round. Gun play is serious business.
So, Vendetta will roll two FEATs, for the pistol in his left hand and the pistol in his right. His attack rolls will be at Agility +2CS for his Weapon Specialist talent. (Taking a second shot with the other pistol would normally have a -1CS penalty, but I'm ruling a Weapon Specialist with pistols doesn't have an off-hand or whatever downside there is)
The bad news is that a weapon is still restricted by its fire rate. Pistols have a fire rate of 1 per round, and Vendetta has 2 pistols firing, so he's going to make 2 seperate attack rolls. Sniper rifles only have a fire rate of 1 per round, and Solo has to fire the rifle two handed, thus can only select 1 target. (Solo can show off his sickness with full auto machine gun fire in a later chapter, I'm sure)
Also a short note on Karma spending rules:
Whenever "I wanna spend Karma" comes out of your pieholes (heh) the minimum spent is 10 Karma, even if it winds up no Karma was needed. Other than that, there are two ways to declare Karma expenditures.
1. by a hard number ("I want to spend 34 Karma") no less than 10, and if the Karma added to the roll goes over 100, the overage rolls back into your on hand Karma pool.
2. by a color... ("I'm spending Karma for Yellow") whatever karma is needed for the desired result (Green, Yellow, Red) is taken from the Karma pool to make the result Yellow after all column shifts are applied (such as when a target dodges), with the minimum of 10 Karma just for saying "I wanna spend Karma"
We all knew this rule, I just wanted to keep our game tight and legit.
Karma declarations should be announced when you roll the FEAT(s) involved.
next post, I'll have up the turn sequence and call for FEATs.
