"I'm ready when you all are. Maybe a quick teleport like Shockwave suggested for the robots to make sure they don't get stolen."
With that, Elixir will assume his titanium form.

Mr. Pride recounts a list of everything he knows and has gathered from the heroes speaking:
- Darkness descends on the museum library and the book is stolen. Evidence is left implicating Hammerhead.
- Monsters attack the Crimson Smiles gang.
- After heroes are recruited to look for the book, Hammerhead's car is used in a drive-by shooting in Central Park on the Gutter Pirates and Broad Daylight Killers gangs.
- Monsters attack the hangout of the Flashing Blades gang that work for Hammerhead.
- The monsters are discovered to be some sort of teleported holograms of members of a West Coast group called the Night Shift connected to a machine run by a HYDRA agent
- Felicia is kidnapped, possibly by the Buzzcuts gang.
- A warehouse belonging to the Nefaria crime family explodes, and HYDRA Dreadnought robots and this "Kick" drug are found there.
- Solo somehow retrieved a magical pendant that is a replica of Bartholomew Jacob's medallion from an illusion
- And then we're all brought here by vehicles and men posing as Paladin Institute agents that turned into dust. And I've been under some sort of mind control since receiving a phone call from Felicia until just a few moments ago. Oldschool and Windchill have been abducted.
- Solo's bunker was attacked by HYDRA agents
Mr. Pride wonders aloud, "Could these phony Paladin agents that brought us here have been some sort of teleported holograms as well?"
Mr. Pride laments, "It doesn't make sense. We don't even have enough to go to SHIELD with for help. They'd think we were insane."

"I'd rather not involve SHIELD unless necessary anyway. I wonder if that was really Felicia on the phone or not. She could be playing a bigger part in this than we'd guessed, and possibly not the same role. It's possible, she's the one setting the trap."

Mr. Pride is jarred by Shockwave's suggestion. "Felicia setting a trap? She's such a nice girl. Struggling to make ends meet as a single mother. Worked her way through school. I hand picked her from a lot of qualified applicants to become my assistant at the Met Museum largely because of her background. I don't know why the Buzzcuts might have abducted her, those degenerates usually target mutants or people they think are mutants. I just don't see her working with them to set a trap. She's usually very upbeat and positive about superheroes, having been a waitress at that Celestial Temple of Pizza where many New York heroes frequent. I just don't see how she might be behind the trap. I'd tend to think she's bait. I hope she's alright, I wish I could remember what she said to me on the phone before everything went blank..."

"The fact that she was the one speaking when things went blank is what has me worried. She still could be an unwilling pawn, and it might not have even been her on the phone, but someone impersonating her to get to you. At this point, we need to just assume there is a trap, and we can worry about the details of who is behind it after the fact."

"Shockwave - they don't look to heavy; I should be able to teleport them. The only thing is I don't have a great range - Paladin made me for combat, not for transport. About the best I can do is 800 feet at a shot. Solo - could you pull it off? Maybe we teleport one somewhere, then rig the others to blow up into scrap metal if they get messed with?
Solo - I'm not worried about going to a bar if you aren't; that's practially home turf. Heck; I might even fight with a pool stick just for old times sake!
Mr. Pride, I hope Felicia's not involved as well, but Shocky brings up a good point. We gotta be ready that she might be.
Guys, I need to make a quick call on the bat-phone; see what I can dig up. Sorry Mr. Pride, but I better do this in another room. We don't know how compromised you are, even if you don't know it. "
With that, Flashdance is going to steal off to a next room, corner, etc. and call Arc to see if she knows anything.

Flashdance places a call to Arc.
Arc answers with a complaint in her voice. "Hey! Been trying to reach you since you teleported an exploding robot over the Atlantic Ocean! Where are you? You totally disappeared off of our tracking net when you teleported with that dumpster. Maximillian Pride, from the Metropolitan Museum, one of our main financial backers, has been abducted by HYDRA! Have you seen him?"
...
"We determined he was under some sort of psionics-based mind control. He set off alarms trying to access some of our seriously classified and dangerous data on extradimensional lifeforms. I can't tell you much about it, except that it's data of a nature someone even as high up in our organization as Mr. Pride is doesn't have clearance to access. It's got our counter-intel teams running around in damage control mode. Apparently HYDRA's got a mole in us somewhere, and they nabbed Mr. Pride thinking he's higher up in our organization than he actually is. But they seem to know at least something about what is contained in our datasbases. From what I understand, the information he attempted to access has to do with some really nasty and evil technomagical entities and that missing book from the Met. Apparently this Bartholomew Jacobs was possessed by one of these entities and that entity is seeking its way back into our dimension through chaos and manipulation. If Mr Pride's safe, and no longer showing signs of mind control, we'll send a team to pick him up for debriefing. Did you ever find that mercenary Solo? We just caught a blip of him appearing in Utah, then disappearing somewhere."
...
"Good, keep him close by. If Mr. Pride's civilian assistant has been captured by either HYDRA agents or these Buzzcuts gangers, Solo's tactics may come in handy in rescuing her. We'll prepare an extraction team for all of you after you check out the Buzzcuts' hangout."
...
"You were extracted before by men and vehicles that turned to dust? This is more serious than I thought. Okay, I'll meet up with you and your teammates after you've investigated the Buzzcuts hideout. It will be of great value to us if you could extract information on where the Maggia family boss Hammerhead can be found. Make sure everyone is together, including Solo, when I come to meet you."

A few breaths.
Spellbound visualized the Kundalini shakti, the coiled serpent of spiritual energy that resides at the base of the spine in Hindu yoga and mysticism, rising, uncoiling as she stood up, out of her body. A thin silvery cord trailed as a wisp behind her back to her mortal shell as she transcended three-dimensional reality into the astral plane.
Onward she passed, through the walls and above the streets of lower Manhattan, there but not there in physical form. The world looked dim as viewed from the spiritual senses, bits of grey splashes of light and darkness intermingling where the pure of heart and the wretched malice of evil coexist and live among each other. Humanity was such a soup of morality and immorality, to rise above to see it brought both fascination and disgust. Staying in this perspective could lead to madness, or enlightenment, which could be the same thing, as the old joke goes.
She passed over the streets, towards the Buzzcuts gang pool hall. Along the way she saw the Celestial Temple of Pizza, a restaurant made from a deconsecrated church. And she saw the spiritual torment, the restless souls of the dead, angered and desecrated by the parking deck building built atop their graves in what once was a cemetery of that church long ago. The barriers are near threadbare. Halloween is approaching.
She descends upon Starky's Pool Hall, and the sensation of callous evil and hatred nearly overwhelms her. The bar is filled with skinhead neo-Nazi mutant haters drinking and playing pool. Their souls are tainted with the blood of the murdered. Fresh blood, that of a mutant that lived in the sewers below the city. They burned him alive!
An old man walking with a staff walks into the pool hall, accompanied by another, younger man in his late 20s. The old man is blind, but his soul shines with the purity and discipline of a saint. The younger man's soul is in conflict, a student of the old man yet the light of his soul is enshrouded in darkness. Not an evil darkness, but one who commands shadow. A wielder of the Darkforce.
The two men appear to be challenging the Buzzcuts to a game of pool for money.
The old blind man looks directly at Spellbound, as if he could sense her spiritual presence. Does he see her, and if so, how?
She feels a voice come over her. From the old man. A telepath? The voice greets her with "Yes?"
The younger man blindfolds himself and takes an impressive shot on the pool table, sinking six balls on the break. The old man appears intent on concentrating, almost as if he were squinting past Spellbound. He walks through her astral form, moving to meet a crowd entering the door. Gutter Pirates and Batboys gang members, accompanied by Dansen Macabre! They have the teen Flashing Blades gang member Tommy Bifrost with them, bound hand and foot!
The old blind man and Dansen Macabre begin to fight as it becomes harder to remain in Starky's Pool Hall. The chi unleashed by the old man's martial arts interrupted the astral plane somewhat. Spellbound finds herself reeling back to her body at One Angel Tower.
Spellbound's eyes open from her trance, as the other heroes stand around her.

Spellbound's eyes snap open she takes a moment to acclimate being back in her physical body.
"Okay, I've checked out the Buzzcut's HQ; the good news is that it appears we may have some allies who might help us clean up the place, one of them is an old man that is spiritually aware of his surroundings. The bad news there are close to two dozen gang bangers in there, besides the Buzzcuts I saw members of the Batboys and Gutter Pirates. And I saw that skanky bitch Dansen Macabre, which could only mean her friends are near by. Also that kid Tommy was there, they got him tied up and was running some sort of scanner over him, not sure what's up with that."
Finishing her report Spellbound laces up her boots, wraps her cloak around herself, and begins to get her mind ready for the coming battle.

"If they have Tommy, that tells me enough at this point. Recon is over, time to move in." Shockwave begins looking for the nearest exit.

... Thanks Arc; will look forward to meeting up. Ah'm guessing we will need all the firepower we can get for this one.
After he hangs up -
Shocky; I'm starting to like your style. Boys, (and lady), Let's go kick some skulls in.

Given how our last encounter with Dansen Macabre went I'm prepping some cryomancy just in case that flesh golem makes an appearance. In that regard, might I suggest Elixir that you be ready to switch to silver to deal with that werewolf.
Primary targets should be any metahumans in the room, we need to incapacitate the bangers quick to avoid any collateral damage. Solo, you and Shockwave should be the best equipped to deal with that, with your sting grenades and his sonic pulse they should be down in no time.
After they are dealt with it'll be a good ol' fashion metabrawl.
OCC - Sting grenades are essentially non-lethal fragmentation grenades, they are also known as rubber ball grenades. The advantage of them over a stun grenade is that a subject does not need to be looking at the grenade for it to take full effect, and they are incapacitated, winded, or at the very least dislodged from cover, by the blunt force of the projectiles.
