- (no costume): TY 6 vs. Physical & Energy attacks, Resist Heat & Cold, GD 10
TELEKINESIS, IN 40 (Range: 11 areas) Can handle objects without direct physical contact (up to Power rank in strength limits)
- Flight -1CS (RM 30) 15 areas, 225 mph
- Kinetic Bolt -1CS (RM 30, Range: 8 areas) Force Column effects, Agility to-hit
TELEPATHY, RM 30. Range: 75 miles. Power rank FEAT to communicate on a direct mind-to-mind basis.
- Auto connect to willing minds (or unwilling of lower Psyche); Yellow FEAT req'd' if equal Psyche; Red for targets with mental Powers or psi-screens; Impossible if greater Psyche.
- Mind Blast at -1CS (EX 20, Range: 6 areas) A psionic attack that inflicts neural damage + target Psyche FEAT to avoid 1-10 rounds unconsciousness.
- Psionic Detection (Power rank intensity, Range: 8 areas) Can actively/passively detect the psionic activity of others within scan range including the usage of mind-probes, thought-casting, mental control and psi-attacks of all origins (tech, innate or induced power, etc.), save magical. A Green Power rank FEAT is required to actively/specifically scan the range for psionic activity currently in use; passive detection of nearby psionic activity within range and currently in use can occur on a Yellow FEAT roll.
RESISTANCE TO MENTAL ATTACKS, IN 40. Protects against incoming assaults against the Psyche of a psionic (but not magical) nature
- Mental Invisibility at -1CS (RM 30). The ability to cloak his mental energies from all means of external detection including tech devices and scanners, psionic, magical, or power-based in nature; essentially does not register or exist in telepathic terms. This can be extended to cloak other minds as well but decreases the effective invisibility a further -1CS (EX 20).

BACKGROUND
Mason McBride is believed to be the sole survivor of a top-secret, experimental military project known as, "POI" (PSI-Operatives Initiative) conducted during the wars of the Middle East. The program aimed to nurture an elite cadre of soldiers showing exceptional fitness and predispositions of "advanced psionic potential", with the ultimate goal of augmenting, isolating, and/or weaponizing their abilities for military purposes.
Of the seven qualified soldiers chosen to partake in the program, only McBride (and possibly one other who went missing on a POI training exercise behind enemy lines) managed to survive the barrage of untested, physiology-altering drug and serum treatments, as well as an exhaustive psi-training regimen.
Unfortunately, findings and test results of the program came up negative to minimal at best, and five of the starting seven initiates had succumbed to death during various experimental stages. Finally, six months into the program, the project was deemed inconclusive and too costly; Psi-Ops was soon shut down. McBride's tour of military duty ended shortly after.
Returning to civilian life, Mason moved to Memphis to share a townhouse with his social-working younger sister, Rebecca, and found work as a physician in a local free clinic. Life continued as normal for nearly a year after the Psi-Ops program had terminated -- when he was suddenly struck but a series of excruciating migraine attacks over a one week period.
One fateful, stormy night, the severe headaches became unbearably worse than anything he'd suffered even during the intensive Psi-Ops program. He went outside to their rooftop balcony to stand in the pouring rain for some fresh air and with his head pounding and eyes closed, Mason lifted his chin high while bolts of lightning streaked across the sky and the roaring boom of thunder echoed around him.
He stood there soaking-wet as the intense throbbing in his head came to a sharp pinnacle, then abruptly dispersed; suddenly a wave of warm euphoria washed over him, and he heard soft whispers coming from all directions. Slowly Mason opened his eyes, lowering his head to glance about, and to his amazement realized... he was hovering nearly six feet above the rooftop. Calmly he lowered himself, the whispers and storm front gradually faded, and he knew without question -- the Psi-Ops experiments had been successful after all.
The next day Mason attended the funeral for one of Rebecca's close friends, a young victim of violent and senseless crime; this had a profound and lasting impact on him. Seeing the small gathering of friends and family in mourning, he was struck with a deep sense of purpose and duty, and from that moment made the decision to continue his psi-training and refine his powers on his own, and use them to bring criminals to justice.
In order to keep his identity secret, Mason had a custom protective suit made for him by his old friend, Milton Peabody III, a senior R&D engineer with Lockheed Martin, and chose the name of, "Spartan" to strike fear into the hearts of the criminal underworld.
Looks like Meteor Man went Kree on us.
