Vendetta has been added to the approved character cast. Most likely, he'll have sideline introduction in a "Chapter 7.5" before hooking up with the rest of the team in Chapter 8. Look for it in a few days, possibly early next week.
Welcome aboard, Vendetta!

I see the NPC applicants for Hammerhead's call for mercenaries are starting to show This character seems more NPC / villain than masked vigilante / hero. That's not a bad thing. Solo and Vendetta are walking a fine line. Solo's actually wanted by local law enforcement currently. Though I'm not sure if this character really fits the team coming together, I do like the character -as an NPC villian- and would like to borrow him

Yeah I watched "Kick-Ass" yesterday, and this character was inspired by that. Yeah he is more of a villian and would'nt fit in the group at all. Off course he can be borrowed, just play him sufficiently crazy, and Ill be happy, haha ;D .

So how is the policy on playing villians or npc's? Will it be an option in the future?

This guy Ka-Boom seems to me like he's insane enough to incorporate into the story somewhere. He'd die, likely. But, it looks like that's the intended point as a mystical "Dark One" grants power to dead evil servant origin... to die, and get better. I'll likely tweak this Ka-Boom character further if I do use him. As far as players playing villians as PCs, I'd rather villians remain NPCs, while our vigilante PCs skirt that edge that keeps them at low or negative popularity and losing karma almost like villains. Is there a demand for wanting to play a supervillian?

I would't mind playing one but it is up to you just pm me, and Ill tell you which villians Id be interested in playing. But for now Im fine with Solo. And I have no problem if villians stay npc's for the future.

Yeah Kaboom is pretty much a one session kamikaze character, but in a world like this he might come back as something else haha. Yeah go ahead and tweak him, was more of a fun project anyway, and Id be honored to see him be used as a npc villian.

Well, I'd rather keep villian characters as NPCs. If players start playing villians then I have to play heroes as NPCs to come after them and in a world where the Justice League and Avengers exist side by side, it might not be too much fun to be a debut villian if the evil draws enough opposition.
I would be curious about what villains you'd like to see pop up in the game, aside from the GWT cast and the additions I've made.

I have had this idea for a character for a few different game systems, I will pitch his history and see what you think...if you like it then I can work out with you his powers because they are magical in nature.
Kabbalah
Caleb Mazer
Occupation: Arcane Researcher Gender: Male Age: 25 Height: 6'1 Weight: 165bls Eyes: Brown Hair: Blond Stature: Thin Ethnicity: Caucasian Size: Medium
Powers:
Caleb's Story:
Born in New York City 1902, to Benjamin and Dara Mazer who were visiting from Israel, he grew up in and around the world thanks to his parents. His parents were archaeologists as well as expert theologists specializing in ancient Hebrew. On his 13th birthday before his Bar Mitzvah he had wandered off from one of their digs and ended up getting a bit lost out in the sands and wilds of the area. What he found was something of a miracle he had actually found a gate to the First Temple of God, built by King Solomon, not only a temple but a library as well and King Solomon was still alive and well. Caleb learned that he was descended from King Solomon and it was his duty to take up the fight agaist the Demons and Devils in the real world but he needed to learn, and learn he did. Studying the scrolls and books as well as from the words of Solomon, until the memories of what had been his life began to fade being replaced by what he was learning and experiencing. Caleb grew up here in this forgotten time and place, away from mortal eyes, he missed his parents but they had not really been a large part of his childhood, always off to one spot or another and he had always felt empty until he had learned of his duty.
Finally after ten years, Caleb needed to pass one last test, he needed to see if he could defeat a demon. Walking away he felt drawn to a particular place where once stood a small village, coming into it he could sense the souls that had been lost there and in short time he was locked in combat for his life, the demon fell with the look of utter defeat on it’s face. The village had finally gotten the peace it deserved and Caleb quickly went and saw his “Uncle” and was told it was time to go, with a hug a kiss and of course a chest full of papers and documents he left and found himself in the United States again, New York 2009.
One of the subjects that had come to his attention was a group calling itself the Knights Templar, this was a group that indeed was trying to do what was his sacred duty to do. Petitioning to join based upon his knowledge, he had to wait almost two full years before his commitment and loyalty was proven and he was asked to join in with a team for fieldwork. There were many ways that the various nether creatures operated and sometimes it was hard to see but even the lowliest of criminals might be acting on behalf of one of the fallen ones, no matter Kabbalah, as he wished to be called, was ready.
Let me know what you think, thanks.

Hero Name: Alloy. Real Name: Denise Meade. Race: Caucasian. Age: 25. Height: 5'10" Weight: Formerly as a human: 150 lbs. Now as Alloy: 750 lbs. Eyes: Blue. Hair: Formerly brown currently a metallic Silver. Place of birth: Seattle, Washington. Occupation: Former solider in U.S. Army, now full time Superhero and part time bodyguard. Legal Status: U.S. citizen with no criminal record. Marital Status: Single. Known relatives: Austin (Father), Sandra (Mother), Nick (Brother), Tasha (Sister in law), Nick Jr. (Nephew) Primary Abilities: F Ex (20) A Ty (6) S In (40) E Am (50) R Ty (6) I Gd (10) P Gd (10) Secondary Abilities: Health- 116 Karma- 26 Resources- Ty (6) Identity- Public. Popularity- 20 Origin- Altered Human. Powers: Alloy has been transformed into a being of living, walking shiny silvery-gray metal. She is permanently stuck in this form. Even her teeth, tongue, eyeballs and hair is metallic though the irises in her eyes somehow maintains their original blue color. Her metallic body gives her great strength and the following: Body Armor- In (40) rank protection vs. All physical and Ex (20) vs. most energy attacks. If she did not have her metal body, her stats will be reduced to: S- Ty (6), E- Gd (10) and her health down to 42. Limitations: Alloy is often inconvenienced by her abnormal heavy weight and appearance. (She breaks things easily, furniture must be reinforced to support her weight, she sometimes leaves deep footprints in the ground as she walks, metal detectors on airports are a real hassle etc.). Her metallic body can be affected by magnetic and electrical attacks (those with magnetic and electrical powers gets +3 CS to affect Alloy). Despite having a super strong as well as a super hard body, Alloy does not have Life Support and so she must eat, sleep, drink and breathe just like a normal human being. Why is this so, nobody, including Denise knows. The main theory is that although almost everything organic in her body has been transformed and replaced by the experimental nano metal, Alloy has the psychological urge to subconsciously reenact basic biological functions. Alloy does not really care as long as she can still eat cheeseburgers with gusto. Also, she must wear regular clothes as more sturdy materials are hard to come by. Needless to say, the clothes don't last very long due to the intense wear and tear Alloy's steel like body puts them though. Talents: Military. Contacts: Col. Lance Kirby. (Fort Grayhill commandant.) History: Corporal Denise Meade was part of a US Army unit assigned to protect a vat of experimental liquid metal compromised of nanites (Project- N.A.M.E. or Nano Active Metal Enhancement. File classified as Top Secret.) A group of terrorists called The Right Hand Of Vengeance raided Fort Grayhill, the army base near Seattle, Washington where the liquid metal was stored in order to steal it. During the inevitable gun battle between the army guards and the terrorists, the vat was damaged and Denise was heavily doused with the liquid metal. However the nanotech had reacted oddly to her cell structure and instead of killing Denise, her entire body was radically transformed into that of a silvery metallic form. The metal had been completely absorbed into her body like a sponge. With her new metal body and incredible strength, Denise quickly dispatched the terrorists. She then had to endure many weeks of quarantine and intense examination by scientists to learn why the liquid metal had acted the way it did. Unknown to Denise or anyone else on the base, the scientists secretly used the last of the metal to test a few soldiers to see if the accident can be repeated. The soldiers were told that they were getting booster shots to combat a recent outbreak of Swine Flu on the base. The soldiers believed in the blatant lie and allow themselves to be injected by the scientists. All ten of the soldiers died gruesome deaths within minutes of receiving the injections as the nanites violently rejected the host bodies. With no more liquid metal and no real way to extract the alerted DNA from Denise's metallic body, the head scientist of Project- N.A.M.E., Dr. Alan Mufaro, ordered the subtle elimination of Denise to cover up the massive loss of the army's budget due to the project's cost overruns and the unsanctioned experiments on the ten soldiers. (only Mufaro and the other project scientists knew about the testing on humans.) Things, however, did not go as subtle as Mufaro had planned as a angry Denise survived the assassination attempt. She beat Mufaro within a inch of his life and dragged him to the office of the base commander, Colonel Lance Kirby where the grim truth of the terrible experiments on humans was finally revealed. Project- N.A.M.E. was immediately shut down and Dr. Mufaro and all of the project scientists were sent to prison. Shortly afterwards, Denise had resigned from the army on a honorary discharge and as it was difficult to maintain a private life with her strange new body, she preferred to keep her identity public and operate as a superhero and freelance bodyguard called Alloy though she maintains close ties with the army.

I was sure that I had seen this character before. Just went and found where you originally posted it in the unofficial character compilation thread.

Yeah, it was my first of three entries in Fang's compendium. I merely changed a few things the app to make it compatible to the campaign such as lowering her strength.

And the shadowy government conspiracies continue I like Alloy a lot. I might be able to bring her aboard. I'll let you know. The Kabbalah character has an intriguing history, but I'd want to see what his FASERIP stats and powers are.
