Elixir whispers to the group:
"What the heck just happened, and was seven hours ago before or after Felicia's car was attacked?"

Mr. Pride says, "This building? Not sure I've ever been here before. Where am I?"
The Paladin agent dispensing communications radios to the heroes looks a bit nervous, but says nothing.
Spellbound stands up and casts a field of psionic nullifying energy around the room, blocking all potential external mental powers from entering the room....
...and the Paladin agent and the radios he is passing out crumble into dust, a clear sign of their illusory nature or construction from broadcasted psionic energy holding them together.
Mr. Pride exclaims, "what the hell is going on?"

ooc: it is getting close to midnight. Felicia's been missing since the night before, but Mr. Pride remembers talking to her on the phone around 5pm today, while the heroes were battling the Dreadnoughts.

"If there is one thing I hate is being manipulated, and boys we are being manipulated. It only makes sense that whom ever has been engineer this gang war and the infighting within the government has for some reason been using us to do their bidding."
Spellbound takes a moment to let this statement sink in.
"Obviously someone wants us to go to this bar, the question is why. But now that we know we are walking into a trap, at least we know to watch our step."
Spellbound begins to pace as she mules over their options.
"First thing to consider; we need to recover Oldschool, and to find out what happened to Windchill, is he really in the hospital. Did someone in here do something to Mr. Pride, and if so can you do it throughout the building. I erected a field to keep any one from listening in on or controlling us with their mind, but I'm not sure if I can cover a building this big."

"Okay, did you just disintegrate that guy, or was he, an illusion? This is one giant setup isn't it."
Elixir looks around nervously for any other "agents".
Kind of glad I didn't actually get anything to drink here!

"Crap, you're right, they snagged Oldschool and Windchill. I'm going to call the hospital to see if he's really there."
Elixir will retrieve his cell and move a few steps away (so as to keep his name out of their ears) to call the hospital superintendent Earl to see if Windchill is there or not.
"Earl, this is Evan, hope thing's are going okay. You got a hero patient by the name of Windchill there? He'd have come in today..."

Earl at the Empire State University Hospital places Elixir on hold for a moment, then returns to the line.
"We've been getting a lot of shootings and stabbings since sundown with this city-wide gang war going on, but nobody from the superhero community has been brought in today. A 'Captain Ultra' came in last night with a dislocated shoulder, but he didn't stay long."

"Thanks Earl, I appreciate it."
Elixir hangs up and relays the bad news.
"Windchill isn't there, he's been nabbed."

Shockwave begins using ultrasonic pulses around the building, looking for any similar results. Not looking for "ultrasound vision" (the powerstunt used previously). Just spreading around pulses.

"Okay what the HELL is going on?!" Solo was tempted to teleport away, or pull out his gun. Obviously Pride wasnt who he was telling. Or someone was controlling him. Solo tried to look for somone suspicious.

"Aw crap - this isn't good. Here we are getting ready to go knock some heads, and my stupid bat's transmogrier field is out of whack. My bosses never told me if this this is run off of electrowhatzits, magical do-hickyness or good'ol gun powder. Could you guys look at this screen and tell me if these readings make any sense to ANY of you? I don't want the d@mn thing snapping when I swing it."
With that, Flashdance will show the message to the team members under the guise of showing them a error message to fill them in, not showing it to Mr. Pride

But the first order of business is to deal with the other current problem, after all someone went to the trouble of setting up a trap, it would be rude not to go in. So, if I may, got a few suggestions...
First, Flashdance, teleport Mr. Pride some place safe, while Solo, find some less-lethal projectiles and sting grenades for yourself, and the two of you meet us back here.
Shockwave and Elixir, I'll need for you two to keep an eye on my body while I scout out the building. Don't know about the rest of you, but given how our last bar room brawl went, I don't want any surprises.
When I get done with my recon, and Flashdance and Solo return, I suggest we go in balls to the wall. Nothing spreads the love like a little Shock and Awe.
We might as well as use this building as a rally point, with two teleporters on the team we have a distinct advantage. But, if anybody has a better plan, feel free to put it on the table.

Paul watched haplessly as four figures appeared out of nowhere from within the balls of lightning. Though his vantage point did not allow him to have a clear view at the other side of the pool hall because of the thick knot of gangbangers surrounding the mutant kid called Tommy as well as a few other Buzzcuts lounging about in various places by the bar, he did managed to see a woman wearing fishnet stockings and carrying a chain in the corner nearest him.
But that was not what really worried him, Paul felt a presence that was quite familiar as if it seemed like second nature, a part of him somehow.
Paul stared at the other side of the hall where the presence seem to be coming from and saw a stranger in a dark cloak...

Shockwave pings the walls of the room, specifically tracking for noise sources in the building below him. Surprisingly, the building is silent, in contrast to the bustle of activity that filled the building just hours previously. The building is like a ghost town.
Solo checks the door to the room and finds it unlocked. In the hallway beyond, in the place of "Paladin agents" that were standing guard rest small piles of dust similar to that which the "Paladin agent" and "radios" dissolved into when Spellbound shielded the room from psionic activity. It seems the small army of "Paladin agents" in the building were psionic projections as well.
