I'm thinking about trying the game out (and making Shockwave), and was wondering if anyone was willing to give advice on what is viable or not viable. (I am reading guides now.)

I'm actually looking at playing a defender just so I can be a sonic resonance/sonic attack hero. Looks like flying can be taken at level 4 which seems like it should come fast.

I was trying to figure out if sonic/sonic is viable, since it seems to be very unpopular.

well I'm definately NOT the person to speak to about "popular" builds. I tend to visualize a hero/villain and then build him/her, not looking at what is a "good" or a "bad" build - I play what I want to play

I didn't care much about good. I was hoping for viable. Looks like I got it, barely. Sonic/Sonic is terrible for any solo work, but seems pretty cool in teams, which is more fun anyway.

City of Heroes strength lies in Team base PVE combat anyway, so thats a good thing, which server are you playing? I might make a Solo character or another one and we could play, I always thought making this Team in City of Heroes would be cool.
