for quite a while now, I've had this idea rolling around in my head.
Marvel Holocaust
The USA is ruled by a xenophobic government, backed by an army of sentinels. All mutants have either fled , or have been enslaved and gathered into huge internment camps. Somehow in the midst of all this California has seceded from the USA and is now ruled by governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and calls themselves the California Free State. So far they are unchallanged by the US government.
Magneto rules Genosha, and has offered sanctuary to all refugees from the USA, and also has allowed the exiles to form a council working to oppose the government of the US.
Freedom Council consist of: Sebastian Shaw, Moira MacTaggert, Tony Stark, Magneto, Professor Xavier, Bruce Banner, Reed Richards, Doc Samson, Nick Fury and probably more that i haven't thought of
In the US the Human Resistance fights against the sentinels, they consist of: Captain America, Daredevil, Punisher, Mockingbird, Moon Knight, Dan Ketch/Ghostrider, Hawkeye and many more heroes who have no real super powers and as such register as normal humans to the sentinels mutant sensors (Ketch wont register as long as hes not Ghostrider).
The Council backs several teams who raid into the US from Genosha. The teams are lead by Wolverine, Cyclops, Havoc, and Exodus. Wolverine leads a covert infiltration team which includes Mystique, Sage, Banshee, Maverick and more. The other 3 each leads a raid team consisting of various other supers, both mutant and non mutant, heroes and former villains.
