Chung says to Elixir, "You tell Chung who you are and what you do, and Chung arrange meeting with Sable for you. All you need to know about Sable is World War 2 never ended. The Nazis left bad things to fall in wrong hands. Sable cuts those hands off."

"My name's Elixir and I have a measure of control over chemical reactions and my body's structure. This is Windchill, he's a mutant with control over wind and can radically reduce ambient temperatures. Unfortunately he was injected with the drug Kick and developed an immediate addiction. He's going to need rehab, a secure facility, and people he can trust. He's already been kidnapped once and seen several of his friends die, so he's surely got some emotional problems to deal with as well."
Elixir pauses to take a deep breath.
"I'll be happy to meet with Sable to talk further, but he's in no psychological condition to be recruited."
Elixir's thoughts take a dark turn as he completes in his mind:
...for a battle or a war...

Chung steps back a bit, surprised at Elixir's words.
"He use Kick? Real Kick? Mutants should never use Kick. Very bad. Very, very bad. No cure for DNA restructuring. His powers will eventually kill him, but not before he does much damage to the world around him. In World War 2, everyone try to make super soldiers to fight. Both Axis and Allies. It is said Kick is a result from American attempts to make super soldiers. New formula now drug on the streets. Very expensive high. One dose typically $1000 or more. Lots of knockoffs and fakes though. Stupid people poison themselves to become like mutants for little while. The addiction makes them come back for more. Ultimate terror weapon if Kick got mixed in food supply. But who could afford so much of it? It may be useful to Sable to find out who made the Kick."

"We could help her if she helps us. That has always been the case with Sable."

Oh no...could that actually happen? There was an awful lot of that being carted around by the Dreadnoughts...
Nodding at Solo's words, "Definitely, if Sable can help I'd be in her debt, and I'd also offer up any assistance I may be able to help with Windchill's condition."

Chung looks at a watch on his wrist, an expensive Rolex.
"It is almost 4:30pm in New York. 5:30pm here. That is 10:30 pm in Symkaria. Sable should be awake, Chung would think. Chung calls Symkarian embassy downtown, they relay call to Sable for you. Chung make dinner while you talk. Phone is downstairs, in restaurant."
Chung opens a trap door in the floor of the dusty attic and drops into the kitchen of his restaurant.

As Elixir prepares to follow Chung downstairs he looks oddly at Solo.
"...Solo, where, roughly, are we? I gather we're not anywhere near New York anymore...are we?"

Solo looked at Elexir,"No we are not near NYC, but I rather not tell you. Its better this way.", Solo didn't want to divulge more of his secrets, then absolutely neccesary.

The first thing Elixir notices when he descends into the kitchen of the restaurant after Chung is the warmth of the air. It's bright and sunny outside. Outside the front windows of the restaurant, Elixir sees a sprawling city built among lush green trees and blossoming flowers. It's more mid-spring time than mid-autumn here. Wherever Solo had brought him, it was definitely in the Southern Hemisphere.
Most of the people milling around on the streets appear to be tourists. Lots of resorts and Hotels around, with Spanish and Portuguese billboards plastered everywhere. Despite the bustle of activity outside the restaurant, Elixir gets the impression that this is the seedy side of town. Probably not the best place for tourists to be after sundown.

Talking to himself Elixir comments, "Well it could have been worse, but a warm climate in October isn't so bad."
Then he does his best to stay out of the storefront while waiting for Chung to call for him.

Chung goes to an alcove in the back of the kitchen where a computer is set up on a desk. He types many keys at superspeed, then inserts a USB flash drive into the PC.
Chung motions to Solo and Elixir and says "Sable ready to see you" and steps away from the computer.
A webcam is set up over a monitor which displays a beautiful woman in a silver bodysuit with silver-white / platinum blonde hair.
"Good evening, Solo." Sable says, in a Balkan accent. "I trust Chung has taken care of you well? Good. I understand you have a Kick-affected mutant that needs help? Do you know the variant? The stuff coming out of Genosha is pretty volatile. You wouldn't want to hit a suspected Kick lab for us, would you?"

"Actually I wouldn't mind doing so, Elexir can tell you more of the chemical variation of the kick, thats his thing", he nods at Elexir.

Sable says, "Our interdictions have been pretty effective in keeping Genoshan Kick out of the international market. Kick manufacturers around the world have had to come up with their own sources of mutant DNA to derive the compounds from. The Genoshans are furthest along in customizing the drug, streamlining to induce specific powers. The genie's out of the bottle."

"Nice to meet you Sable. I'm not sure of what variety it is, I've only just become involved with its effects. I can send you what information I know and what characteristics it has."
Elixir looks questioningly at Chung motioning to see if it is okay if he types.
"Is there anything you can do for Windchill?"
"Also, if you're going to hit a Kick lab, I want to go along. I'm not a trained soldier like Solo, but I have my uses. Chung mentioned that if that stuff got into the food supply or water supply it would cause a monumental disaster. Are we fighting a losing battle against this drug?"

Sable says coldly as she nods at Solo, "It's not a losing battle as long as we're willing to fight it. The ingredients are hard to come by, as are viable mutants to extract those ingredients from. But the manufacture of Kick also requires a specific skill set. Skills that can be removed from brains with the right caliber of bullet. Most of the Kick produced in the world is dangerous knockoffs of the Genoshan product, legacy variants of differing levels of potency. We have rumors of a possible manufacturing ring being set up in New York City. We need to investigate it further, but clearly such an operation would need to be shut down."
And then she adds, "We can try to help your friend. It would be helpful to study the type of Kick he was exposed to, and how he injested it. Even eating it has an effect, but the more potent forms are vapourized and inhaled or injected intraveneously. I'd offer to set up a flight out of Brazil, but Solo can get here faster. Bring him to the Ministry of Defense."
