Ferine pushes the blackberry out of her face and looks at the newsman and gives him a flat stare and says quietly "If you know what is good for you, you would get the hell out of here, it's not safe for civilians to be here right now."
Ferine stands up and jumps down from the car and begins to walk away from the news crew, and starts heading down the street away from the scene.

POWER STUNT TIME: White Noise Generating constant sound in an area, the sonic signal can disrupt listening devices and other detection from outside of the area in order to help keep conversations and activities in the area private.
I'm going to try and flood the area of the reporters with white noise so that the blackberry isn't able to pick up the actual sound going on, seeming instead to get static.
Assuming it gets approved Power Stunt Cost: 100 Additional Karma: Pay to Red to enable feat (first time stunt) Additional Karma to green for actual feat roll assuming an activation role is needed.

Ouch... burn that karma (95 needed (I think I"m at -1CS due to battle damage?) so 81 karma to red for total of 181 karma so far)
Feat Roll:

ooc: There's no damage to Shockwave's sonic generator, just the flight thrust systems in his upper right leg. Shockwave's new White Noise Generation powerstunt only needs 100 karma to attempt, plus a Red FEAT roll, at -1CS from his IN Sonic Manipulation power. Only one roll needed, so I'll take the first one (14%) and so for Red on the RM column requires a minimum of 95%. So, in total, Shockwave spent 181 Karma to establish this stunt. Next use will require a Yellow FEAT. Shockwave's running total of Karma is adjusted on the Karma Advancement cheat sheet, and character sheet is updated.

The reporter balks at Ferine's request to leave the area, and sneers at her for pushing the Blackberry away.
"You there! You were there at the Met the other day about the stolen book." Winslow turns, holding the Blackberry out to Shockwave to interview him. "I'm Brent Winslow, SkyCam Action 36 News! What is your involvement in fighting these mutant terrorists? Are you a government agent? What's up with the duct tape on your leg?"
Winslow bangs his hand against the side of the Blackberry. "Clara? Can you hear me? Damn it. I'll call back."
Winslow dials his studio again, and connects, but he can't hear anything from it, and no one can hear him on the other end. He gets frustrated and flustered, and begins yelling at his pilot. "What the hell is the matter witrh this thing? Is it on mute?"
The pilot merely says "Hey! Stop beating on it! That thing cost me $400!"
"Well, it's a piece of shit!" Winslow throws the Blackberry to the pavement, and it skips as it shatters into shards of plastic and inferior, overpriced circuitry that may actually work better now than it did in one piece."Get an I-Phone, you cheapass."
----- ooc: I hate Blackberrys, LOL -----
The pilot lunges at Winslow, but the cameraman Phil restrains him. "C'mon, let's get out of here."
Solo disappears with Windchill and Elixir in a sparkle of dancing plasma.
----- ooc: Solo and Elixir, go to Chapter 9.4, coming up in a few. -----
Ferine sees Elixir disappear into thin air with the armed man and the ice powered mutant she flattened. The mysterious Roma woman had told her she was a part of finding the missing grimoire that Elixir and his friends are looking for. And now the reporter was pestering the armored man about a missing book.
(Both Ferine and Oldschool had heard the armored man / Shockwave emit a shrieking noise, and now he's emitting a droning noise that silenced the reporter's cell phone)
=====
Arc emerges from the homeless shelter with the Paladin agents Xander and Robbins, who are lugging Flashdance on a old cot. Flashdance is still snoring loudly, sleeping deeply.
They trot toward the Paladin Institute helicopter. Arc calls over her shoulder to the remaining heroes. "Well? Are you coming?"

Vendetta tells ARC "Two sec's" and then turns to Oldschool "I know we could use all the help we can get. "For now we need to go back to the institute, but from what I saw this woman could be a great asset to our team - we should ask her to come with us."

"Looks like the interview will have to wait for later. However, if you don't want to make a fool out of yourself in your reports, you should start looking into Kick. It's a bigger problem than mutants."

Oldschool blinks rapidly as he tries to ring an ear out with one of his fingers. He watches Shockwave and the surrounding area warily. It seemed like everywhere they had went someone had ended up being attacked or attacking them. He hoped to not be caught flat-footed when the rest of his team was distracted...
...the rest of the team?
He looked back and forth with his ultravision. He couldn't see Solo, Elixer or Windchill.
Where the hell had they gone?!?
Right then Vendetta came up. Oldschool agreed with him.
"We better catch up with her quick then," Oldschool grunted, "before she disappears like the rest of our team did. Did they tell you they were leaving? I was abducted for... I don't know how long... just running off because they're upset isn't the right way to go about it. They need to grow up and act abit more mature. You, Shockwave and I could have defended them. I could have carried Windchill. Stuff like this just pisses me off."
Oldschool starts heading after the mysterious woman, glancing over his shoulder, hoping Vendetta is coming. He looks for Shockwave to look over so that he can motion that he's going after the woman.

With the blackberry no longer in working condition, Shockwave shuts off the white noise generation and tries to take in his surroundings again. People are appearing and disappearing faster than he can keep up with.

Oldschool hurries to catch up to the mysterious woman. He does his best to put aside his concern over missing team mates and puts on as warm a smile as he can. Oldschool doesn't want to scare her off if she turns and sees him and Vendetta chasing after her.
"Hey, wait up!" he shouts.

Ferine stops and turns around to face the person talking to her. "Yeah" she says as she watches the men come towards her not really knowing if she is in trouble or not.

What a mess. Between the massive car crash, and the ice cube helecoptor, it could be days before traffic is flowing again. I sure hope they are able to hold on to that assassin that put everyone to sleep better than they held on to their other person under observation.
"We really need to get moving again. These problems are just the symptoms. We still need to find the source of all of this, before there is more collateral damage."

Oldschool waits for Vendetta to catch up before speaking.
"You handled yourself pretty good back there. We liked what we saw. Are you part of a group already, or would you be interested in our proposal. We could always use another member with good instincts and I figure you trust your instincts more than the next."
Oldschool smiled as he gave her a compliment. He had noticed that she had flinched when he had as Shockwave's latest discovery had savaged their ears, taking care of the reporters.
