Who is this guy? Don't know if I can trust him...but if I could, that would go a long way.
"Lets get this mess cleaned up with this book first, then we can start talking upgrades. We have enough on our plates for a while."

Maximillian Pride agrees. "Yes, it is important that the Jacobs grimoire be found." He seems a bit furtive, as if he knows more than he's letting on. "This is a Paladin Institute installation, or was. Been decommissioned for a good 25 years. They're probably trying to figure out how those HYDRA imposter androids infiltrated. If they even know they have. May as well see if any of the old equipment still works."
Pride speaks up, loudly. "Ahem. Ghost, read voice print authentication, Pride, Maximillian, Paladin Six. Passcode: Croatoan."
From the intercom speakers comes a disembodied mechanical voice
[Ghost Confirmed. Welcome back to the ANomalous Geometric Event Locator Towers, Mr. Pride.]
Mr. Pride explains, "Ghost is the codename of a deceased Paladin operative. The computer network here was named for him in his honor."
He speaks up again. "Ghost. Grant full Beta level security access to all areas to everyone here - Shockwave, Vendetta, Ferine, Solo, and Glitch."
[Ghost Confirmed.]
"You all should be able to ask the computer systems about anything now. Just speak to Ghost directly. I'm going to see if my old office in Tower Two still has a secure satellite phone link."

Vendetta nods as Pride leaves, he then desides to ask the obvious question. "Ghost what does Beta level security access entail?"

[Beta Level access is issued to Paladin Site Facility Managers at a specific outpost. You now have access to all areas and equipment of the Angel Towers Complex, and authorization to speak to the on-site Ghost system monitor itself.]

An alarm from the life support equipment connected to the comatose Flashdance starts to sound and his body thrashes against the gurney.
Flashdance's body begins producing a flashing pulse of lights that appears in a series.
Maximillian Pride rushes over and checks the equipment, then Flashdance.
"His transdimensional ocular implants are in record mode... His mind is broadcasting from somewhere," Pride says, almost nonsensically.
"Ghost! Do we have visual signal from Flashdance?"
[Ghost Confirmed. Paladin Field Agent Flashdance is comatose, but his transdimensional ocular implants are active. Connecting to signal.]
A large monitor screen on the wall near Flashdance goes active, and displays a strange scene of a blasted, apocalyptic urban landscape from above, getting closer. This is Flashdance's perspective, and he's falling towards them.
Hordes of zombies rush towards a small group of people as Flashdance descends into them and smashes a few of them back with his baseball bat and superstrength. Beside him is Oldschool, Elixir, Renegade, Spellbound, Rin, a man in black cape and cowl over a red suit with blades on his wrists, and another figure in red and yellow carrying a glowing dagger, all fighting off the zombies. Oldschool throws zombies as far as he can as quickly as he can grab them from the oncoming crowd. Renegade is steadily chopping away at them with shadow weapons. Elixir is punching the zombies back, each punch disintegrating their forms. There is no sound, but it appears that they are protecting Spellbound, Rin, the man with bladed gauntlets and the man with the dagger from the oncoming army of zombies. Spellbound does something and the man with the bladed gauntlets disappears. Oldschool, Elixir and Renegade close ranks around them as Flashdance leaps high above them again to survey the battlefield....

"Wait a minute. That looks somewhat familiar...except, instead of zombies, I saw LMD's. I thought it was just some kind of nightmare. Maybe some kind of shared conciousness instead? Or some alternate reality and it really is happening? Somehow I got out of that scene, but it seems they are all still trapped there? I'm not an expert in this area unfortunately."

Maximillian Pride says, "From what I know of Flashdance, his eyes were upgraded to broadcast what he's seeing back to base during extradimensional excursions. I can only guess that this is what he's dreaming subconsciously while in his current condition because his body is still here. You've dreamed this before?"

"Not exactly this, but close. We were being swarmed by the crowds closing in, just like in Flashdance's vision. It's so eerily similar."

"Not exactly this, but close. We were being swarmed by the crowds closing in, just like in Flashdance's vision. It's so eerily similar." "Anyone else dreamed anything like this? Normally Flashdance's ocular implants wouldn't engage unless he, or at least his mind were in another dimension. That probably doesn't make sense to the uninitiated, but most of the Paladin Institute's enemies don't come from our reality. Whatever dimension Flashdance's mind is in, some of those people there with him are in fact probably actually there with him. That doesn't rule out your friend Oldschool. I'm afraid I don't recognize any of the others." Pride curses to himself. "I wish Arc or Vigil were here. Ghost, scan Flashdance's ocular feed for known ecto-psionic spectra." [Ghost working.][Ghost confirmed. Ecto-psionic spectrum within ocular signal bandwidth is consistent with Flashdance's Kirlian aura markers. Also present is telemetric matches with psionic output from entity designate: Spellbound and known characteristics of entity designate: Rin]"Spellbound? Ghost, who is Spellbound?" [Entity designate: Spellbound emitted a psionic disruption field in the office of Maximillian Pride in Tower Two on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 which disrupted 46 natural hypno-portational projections of Paladin Institute personnel created by entity designate: Rin on October 1, 2009] "I wasn't there. Must have been after I was captured by the LMDs. Ghost, is Rin behind the mutant monster attacks?" [Ghost denies. Recorded Hypnoporter emanations at media reported monster attack locations are inconsistent with all known constructs created by entity designate: Rin]"Ghost, when did the LMDs infiltrate and capture this building?" [Ghost ignorant. Database security compromised on September 20, 2009]"Does anyone know who Spellbound is? What happened to her?"

"I had a similar dream - not that but close enough" Vendetta almost shivers as he remembers the vivid dream "I remember someone said he ruled that particular realm of nightmares."
Vendetta shakes his head "nope first and only time I saw her she was layed out on a table at a shelter with a sheet covering her from head to toe if you get my meaning"

Ferine shakes her head and says no to both questions.
Ferine moves a bit closer to take a look screen.

"Spellbound? Ghost, who is Spellbound?" She died honorably in combat. She is resting now in a better place. She can't help us anymore.

"Damn." Pride curses, "If this is an external dream construct, there are three possibilities, each one more frightening that the former. One, we're asleep in a nightmare world and Flashdance is our only conduit out to the real world. Two, we're trapped in the same nightmare world as Flashdance and he's comatose and can't help us, or Three, we're in the real world and Flashdance is in a nightmare world of dreams of the future. If I had to guess, number Three is where we're at, worse case scenario. Regardless, waking Flashdance up in Case One or Case Three might either kill him, or kill us. Waking him up in Case Two will kill all of us."
"Flashdance would have known Spellbound was dead, so her presence in Flashdance's dream state doesn't necessitate her not really being there. It could be symbolic, but she could also really be there. Especially with Rin in there with him. Rin is a dreambridger. I can't be certain if he's really in there or not, because Rin can be in reality and the dream dimensions simultaneously. That really makes the presence of Oldschool and the others with Flashdance hard to determine as well, if they're constructs of Rin, or the actual minds of those people trapped in Flashdance's mind."
On the screen...
Flashdance is descending again from a great leap carrying Elixir who disintegrates zombies with a touch, clearing a rooftop. Across from them in the distance stands a glowing white version of the Angel Towers Complex. They are followed by Spellbound, who carries the man in red and yellow wielding a glowing dagger, leaving Oldschool and Renegade protecting Rin.
The man with a dagger waves his hands, creating a portal in the air encircled with strange markings similar to those on the Bartholomew Jacobs artifact. Through it can be seen Paladin technicians thawing Deadpool out of a block of ice. Elixir steps through the portal and Paladin agents begin disintegrating as he rushes towards them, touching with what looks like superspeed. Flashdances turns away from looking through the portal to beat back zombies crawling up the side of the rooftop before looking back. Elixir has revived Deadpool, and brings him back through the portal, tossing his body to the hungry zombies, pieces of him regenerating back on his body as the zombies bite them away. This gives Oldschool and Renegade an opening to leap up to the rooftop with Flashdance and the others. They point towards the Angel Towers Complex, which seems to shrink into the distant horizon behind a growing horde of zombies...

"What side of the building does it seem like they are approaching from. We should see if there is anything outside the dream that we can see affecting the 'real world' I have a really bad feeling about this."
