"...Castle should be considered the most armed and dangerous of the two unaccounted for escapees from last night's breakout at the Ryker's Island Penetentiary. Also known as "the Punisher," Castle was convicted in late 2008 of several counts of domestic terrorism and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction. Authorities are concerned Castle may become involved in the rising gang war in the streets of Manhattan."
"The Flamenco Club Villa on the Upper West Side was struck by what has been described as another "monster attack" last night, leaving 14 people dead and their bodies horribly mutilated. Wilson Fisk, owner of the posh nightclub, issued a statement criticizing the police for failure to get the dangerous drug Kick off the streets. Kick, a strange new designer drug rumored to possess the ability to temporarily grant its users metahuman powers and monstrously altered forms, has been at the center of controversy in recent weeks as Congress debates the reconcilliation of the Senate and House versions of the 2009 Mutant Registration Act establishing a "Mutant Registration Directorate" agency tasked with locating and quarantining people suffering from the tragic genetic disorder, until a cure can be found. Kick is believed to be derived from extracts from the blood cells of those suffering from the mutation disease."
"A shooting in the Bronx left a cop dead and another..."
"HEY! YOU! YEAH YOU!" The shopowner screamed at Rin for lingering too long in front of his store. "THIS AIN'T NO LOITER LOT! GO HOME IF YOU WANNA WATCH TV! @#&$!"
Rin was used to being driven away from storefronts. having no home of his own and living on the streets.
***Put him to sleep. Take his money! Beat him senseless!***
***No, dont! You'll put the entire block to sleep! Cause a wreck. Hurt too many people!***
The voices in Rin's head were always arguing, like a devil and angel on each shoulder. It drove Rin mad.

Rin sighed. He was always so tempted to make people drop dead asleep, but the voices always conflicted with each other, so he never knew what he wanted to do.
Not wanting to be more of a burden for the man in the store, he shoved his hands into the pockets of his coat, and proceeded to wander the streets. He just wanted everyone to stop talking to him, even the voices, which were his only company.
When he arrives at the closest empty alley, he walks up to the nearest dumpster corner that faced the street. He then proceeds to shove his back in the corner while getting on the ground. He tucks hisknees in near his face, and his arms wrap around his shins. Not wanting to fall asleep yet, he lazily watches as few people pass by walking on the streets, wondering if they had a family, or maybe a home full of loved ones...

Rin had been up all night, roaming the streets when daybreak came and the morning newscast on the storefront television caught his eyes. After being run off from the storefront, Rin just wanted to find a quiet place to settle down. The city was waking up to a new morning, as streams of people began filing down the sidewalks, hailing cabs, and shops began opening for business. Stepping off into an alleyway, Rin huddled next to a dumpster. Many people hustled by on the sidewalk at the head of the alleyway, many of them carrying umbrellas as if they expected rain today. The chilly October wind blew tattered bits of trash and newspapers down the alley. The stink of rot eminated from the dumpster that Rin squatted beside, but fortunately it was too cold for flies and insects to be out swarming around it. As Rin sat, idly watching people pass by the alley on their way to work, he sees two men step into the alley, both dressed in bright neon orange and green track suits and baseball caps. Emblazoned on the back on one of the men's jogging suits were the words "Broad Daylight Killaz" while the other man's jacket simply read "BDK." The softer voice in Rin's head began to panic, a voice that seemed to realize when danger was near. ***Run! Hide!***The two neon-wearing men murmur at each other, and their discussion becomes heated. "You got that K, dawg?" "Naw man, I had to ditch it. Cops was on us." "You supposed to be sellin', what the hell you gonna ditch my product?" "I'm sorry man, they was on us..." "You got my money right?" "Sh*t man I ain't got no money. I told you that I had to ditch..." "No, what you 'had' to do was sell my sh*t and bring me my money, motherf*cka" At that the man draws a pistol and slaps the other man upside the head with it, knocking him to the ground. The other man whimpers, "Sh*t man, don't kill me. I'll make it right. C'mon man give me time..." The man with the gun says coldly, "Time? I ain't got no time for no bullsh*t. You lost my Kick, you lost my ends, and now yo sorry ass is gone lose yo damn life..." The thug cocks the hammer on his gun and places the barrel on the other thugs forehead. "Broad Daylight Killaz got no time for no weak ass non-producers that won't live by the code. You half-ass little b*tch. Scared of cops?! I've been waiting to execute yo punk ass for a long time..." ooc: Declare action and roll initative, Rin! Rin, not wanting to be the witness of something that could possibly be blamed on him, decided that hiding would be the best option for the man. So, hoping he had the time, he would stand up, walk over to the man on the ground, and try to touch him in his chest to make them both hide, and the other hand of his covering the man on the ground's mouth.
Declaration: Move to BDK on the ground and activate 'Telepathic invisability' while touching him.

As the armed BDK drug dealer fires his gun, he forgets who he was shooting at, and further, no longer sees a target.
His gun goes off loudly, ringing down the alley.
Rin had made the othe BDK thug invisible and pulled him out from in front of the gun.
As the drug deaker stood bewildered about why he was standing in an alley shooting at a wall, the other thug looked at Rin in confusion.
"I'm dead. He shot me! Where's my body? Wait, I'm not dead? Who are you? Let of of me!"
Realizing that for some reason the drug dealer is unaware of both Rin and himself even though they're only a few feet away from him, the thug says to Rin, "What is this? He can't see me?"
The drug dealer quickly shoves his gun back into his waistband and begins running from the scene, confused about why he would shoot a wall in the first place and not wanting to draw further attention to himself.

Rin ignored the meaningless questions the man on the ground asked. They weren't going to be answered, so there was no point in him asking them. Now he was in the mood to make everyone sleep as the adrenaline began to pump into him at the sound of a gun shoot occurred in front of him and as the other man panicked. He quickly stood up and looked at the man on the ground, giving him the most emotionless look as he tilted his head to the left, the invisability leaving the man.
"Annoyance."
He then quickly kick the man in the face to shut him up as Rin runs after the other thug, maneuvering through the crowd as if he wasn't there. He figured that if the man was running, he'd run home to more of these people, so he can finally use his power without hurting anyone..... So he was told.

Rin let go off the "annoyance," exiling him from the bounds of his telepathic invisibility power and leaving him wondering why he was on the ground holding his face in pain.
Rin ran, invisibly, after the fleeing shooter who eventually enters a subway terminal, Rin loses sight of him in a crowd of rude, pushy morning commuters heading for trains.

More annoyances, of course, get in the way of what Rin wanted to do, but he let it go. He decided to catch a slip of breath after running after someone he thought he could have fun with, but to his avail he couldn't find him. Now left with nothing to do and his enthusiasim going away, he decided that it was time to grab a bite to eat. His sleepines faded after he getting excited, and the excitedness transformed into hunger. So, he decided to hop on the train, becoming visable as soon as he finds an empty seat.
He lounges back in his seat and stares at the cealing, his arms tucked behind his head as he waits for it to depart,. He was thinking of what he wanted to eat today, as there was too many foods to chose from, and none of them sounded good. So, he decided that wherever the train's next stop was, he'd decide when he saw what was readily available to him.

Sometimes Rin's baser impulses took on a voice in his head, often telling him to engage in immoral or despicable acts. Such voices grew louder when he was hungry. Which of course conflicted with the voice of his better nature. Often they argued, and Rin sat on the subway train heading for the Lower East Side listening to the war inside his mind as his stomach grumbled.
***Find a restaurant. Wait for a meal to be served. Make them sleep and take their food. Slit their throats. Take their money. They can't stop us.***
***No! Don't do it! Don't hurt people!***
***Screw those people, Rin! They don't deserve to eat anyway!***
***Rin, you're better than that! Try to control yourself!***
Many arguments like this took place in Rin's mind on a daily basis, but never before had the voices addressed him by name....
Confused, Rin stepped off the train, and walked up the stairs back up to the street level near some small cafes and pastry shops. He enters an internet cafe called "The Higher Ground."
The shopowner seems a bit stuck up, disapproving of Rin's appearance.
A rather large, musclebound man with a mustache wearing a dirty NAPA Auto Parts T-Shirt is hunkered over a computer in the rear of the cafe.

Rin steps in to the "Higher Ground" internet cafe, eyeing pastries through a glass counter as he feels the warmth of the shop flow over him after stepping in from the breezy and cold October weather.
After Rin stands around a bit, the shopkeeper rings out a customer who leaves with a steamy cup of coffee, then turns to Rin and says, "Hey ain't you supposed to be in school right now?"
Then the shopkeeper glances down in his till and says "What the..."
"HEY!"
The shopkeeper is yelling at the muscular man on the computer in the back.
"Hey! This money you gave me to rent internet time is turning to dust!"
The shopkeeper looks at Rin disapprovingly again then turns to the muscular man in the back.
"Hey buddy, what kind of crap are you trying to pull?"

Rin.... A name he hasn't heard for such a long time. As they argued on the train, he slowly grew suspicious of them, as they never used his name, even when he remembered it. So he slowly tried to tune them out, but as he did, they came back louder, and all Rin could do was clasp his ears, which looked strange to on-lookers, and did not help. The train then halted progressively until it was completely stationary. Many of the people stood up and rushed to the door, ignoring him and shoving him in the process. He waited until he finally had an opening to exit, and he walked with the crowd up the stairs and out into the street. Well, not really walked, as he was stuck in the middle of the crowd and was being dragged along. And finally, after they reached the top, the crowd dispersed and Rin was free to move around. Looking up and down the street full of cafes & pastry shops, he decided to go to the closest one; the "Higher Grounds" cafe. As he entered, he could feel the piercing stare of the shopkeeper and a few side glances of the other inhabitants in there, except for one... a muscular man hovering over a computer. Rin focused on the man for only a minute, before the owner came to a realization. "Hey ain't you supposed to be in school right now?"School... and 'educational' place where you learn how to live. Rin thought he was fine after the first few months, so he never bothered to go check one out. Lost in thought for a moment, he was shot back into reality when the owner said something about money turning to dust as he shouted at the large man. The owner looked at Rin again, his unnerving glare getting to Rin, before he turned back to the large man. Rin knew that if something happened while you were anywhere, you would be in trouble because you were at the scene. Like with the bright clothed guy. If he didn't do anything... No, that doesn't matter. Now he needs to save the large man, because the man behind the counter could do something to him... Anyone could. Rin then calmly walks over to the big guy over at the computers and touches his shoulder as he tries to make them invisible. He then offers a hand to the big guy, as if beckoning him to come along before things got too bad. //Rolling just in case I need to ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) \\ [attack=786324572852374]

ooc: well if that doesn't pull the cat out of the bag a little further, I don't know what will... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) "Hey I'm talking to you! What's up with that money you gave me turning to..." Rin walks over to the big muscular man and places his hand on his arm, to render them both telepathically invisible. The shopkeeper seems a bit confused, then calls out to a waitress. "Who put dirt in the till?" When Rin touches the large muscular guy, for a moment he hears a crackle of electricity, and the muscular guy's feature briefly change to a blue-green skin color with pointy ears before turning to normal flesh color and appearance. Rin also hears voices, but not the voices that normally appear in his head. It's as if the voices were audibly in the room with Rin, standing near him, but not really there. For that matter, it almost seems like the big muscular guy is... not really there. **This machine is still projecting him. We have to find a way to turn it off.**
"Master, Who's that kid with him? Someone from the homeless shelter, perhaps?"
**Wheels within wheels, Renegade. Evil magics intertwined with evil technology. The machine reports that the kid is a mutant. It's not my forte, but the kid seems to have the power create dream states. They were able to pull me here with Dansen Macabre's projections. Perhaps if we can get Oldschool to wake up we can pull him here as well to help shut down this machine.**
"If I could awaken you, Master, you could help me shut down this machine."
**Go back in the shadows. Someone's coming**
